Tantalus Drive
Problem: Hillside sluffing on side of home causing shifting and damage to existing rock wall.
Solution: We replaced failing lava rockwall with new shotcrete retaining wall carved & stained to look like lava. Micropiles and tieback anchors implemented in stairs and hillside foundation of house.
Kaneohe Hillside
Problem: Hillside home, retaining walls cracked and moving.
Solutions: Grout-injection Micropiles installed strait down and at angles (Tie-back Anchors) into walls, buttresses formed incorporating Micropiles and Anchors.
Kalama Valley
Problem: Tiled pool moving. Challenge: to stabilize pool without cracking tile.
Solution: Micropiles successfully installed along edge of pool and incorporated into grade beam, stabilizing the entire unit.
Sierra Drive
Problem: Neighboring hillside homes' retaining walls moving. High traffic portion of Sierra Drive threatened.
Solution: Grout-injection Micropiles and Tie-back Anchors installed and incorporated into reinforced Grade Beams and Ribs to stabilize hillside and walls.
Lower Sierra Drive
Problem: Retaining wall cracked and moving.
Solution: Reinforced concrete buttresses incorporating Micropiles and Tie-back Anchors.
Mauna Lani Circle
Problem: Down slope lot, retaining walls cracked and moving.
Solution: Grout-injection Micropiles installed straight down and at angles into walls (Tie-back Anchors) and water redirected.
Niu Valley
Problem: Two-tiered retaining wall cracked and moving.
Solution: Micropiles and Anchors drilled and incorporated into buttresses.
Off Kaneohe Bay Drive
Problem: Chunks of rock wall falling vertically onto house below due to erosion.
Solution: Grout-injection Micropiles installed strait down and at angles into hillside. Grade beams formed incorporating tops of Micropiles and Anchors, then Dura-lagg wall built up to give client a safer backyard.
Kaneohe Adobe Soil
Problem: Adobe soil made construction impossible on unstable ground.
Solution: Micropiles stabilized ground soil for a stable new home foundation.
